Indonesia is an archipelago consist of about 17,000 islands and their peoples are well known Seafarers from long time back.

In the modern time, Indonesian Seafarers known for their loyalty and hard working seaman.

With the growing demand of Indonesian seafarers and amounting requirements by ISM Code and STCW95, we start this Manning Agent Company in 1999.

Our Crewing Staff are all retired Merchant Marine Officers covering all ranks onboard with at least 15 years sea time and 7 years in Crew Management. They are all familiar and certified with ISM Code Training, STCW 95, ISO 9001, DNV's CMO and all related Maritime / Flag State Legislation including the latest requirements such as ISPS, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 as well as TMSA2, TOTS.

We occupy our own building with total of 600 sqm office space where 100 sqm dedicated for In House Training and assessment. We are now certified ISO 9001:2008 company.

TBNP recruits ratings from the government owned rating school,BP2IP Barombong, BP2IP Surabaya, BP2IP Tangerang. The regulars programs annual output is 200 rating per year each.

Since 1991, Shipdeco A/S of Norway in cooperation with the Indonesian Seafarers Union (KPI), has been using BP2IP BAROMBONG facility to train and upgrade Indonesian seaman.

TBNP is working in close co-operation with all institutions in the interest of training and upgrading Indonesian seafarers.

Additional Rating School in Sorong will start its 1st batch Training in April 2009.

Another Rating school in Malahayati Aceh still under construction and expect to finish in late 2009.

As for Officers / Engineers recruitted from STIP Jakarta, PIP Semarang, PIP Makasar (Ujungpandang), BP3IP Jakarta and other Approved Maritime Academy.

At present TBNP has approximately 500 officer and crew on board 50 ships and approximately 250 officers and crew on stand by.

We have about 12,000 Seafarers in our data base system (As of January 2010).

TBNP is a member of CIMA (Consortium of Indonesian Manning Agencies ) since 1999.

Besides ordinary ships crew, we also supply voyage repairers (riding crew) for shorter or longer periods as and when requested by the owners or managers. The riding crew is normally in addition to the normal compliment and are basically on board for special purpose assignments.
